Why “Mimms” Museum of Technology and Art?
Honoring Our Legacy: At first, Lonnie Mimms, our founder and board chair, was hesitant to include his name in the rebrand. However, his lifelong dedication to preserving digital history—starting with his first collection at just nine years old—has been the driving force behind our museum’s success. Honoring his legacy felt not just appropriate, but essential.

In 2024, we celebrated five years as a museum, providing us with the opportunity to reflect on our growth and the exciting future ahead.
