Mimms Museum of Technology and Art has acquired the remaining historical computing artifacts, exhibit materials, and educational content from Seattle’s Living Computers Museum and the Estate of Paul G. Allen, helping preserve this remarkable legacy for public exhibition, education, and study.

About the acquisition

In September 2024, Mimms Museum announced the acquisition of the remaining historical computing and technology artifacts, museum storytelling content, exhibit materials, and educational resources previously housed at Living Computers Museum.

This acquisition deepens Mimms Museum’s mission to preserve the stories and artifacts of the digital age while expanding opportunities for visitors, students, researchers, and computing enthusiasts to experience important milestones in technology history.
